First off, I have to say that this show is so far superior to American Idol in many ways. 1. The contestants that make it through are all actually really good. They have to be- they put them through intense choreography sessions and they make sure they can do other dance styles as well. You really can't succeed on this show if you have no training at all. 2. The judges know what they are talking about (or screaming about, ie Mary Murphy). They make sense and have a much bigger vocabulary. 3. Until the top 10, the judges kick off the weakest dancers, ensuring no Sanjaya/Michael Johns-Carly fiascos.

Season 4 starts with auditions, and we see many familiar faces from auditions past (as well as previous seasons, hi Dominic!) I don't remember every person, so I'll go over some that stuck out (and make this post, ahem, concise).
First was Devin, who got the wrong music and kinda just stood there till the judges figured it out. But once they did and put the right stuff on, she was pretty good, and got a ticket to Vegas.
There was a ridiculous pop and locker who looked like he was completely made out of rubber. It was a little freaky, but really sick (in a good way). Also Mia is nuts, she thought he was an alien.
This blond chic did a modern dance routine that was pretty good, but she was smiling and looking ecstatic throughout and the judges loved that + her look, so she go through, and Dominic had a huge smile on his face through her routine, which was really cute.
There were some hot ballroom dancers, and lots of modern dancers.
Twitch from last season, who got cut right before the final rounds in Vegas, was back, and he really improved from last yr, so he got a pass to Vegas again.
One really interesting audition was done to a spoken word track, which was moving, but didn't showcase his abilities enough (so said the jidges) and Laura, a legally blind girl. She performed well, but the judges didn't think her technique was good enough and it would be too difficult for her to learn the choreography. She did move Crazy Mia to tears though.
Anyway I'll stop here and just say I'm so happy this show is back and will recap the whole season here!! Can't wait!
